There are rumors going round the internet at the moment regarding the new Firmware update 2.4 for the PS3. The update is semi confirmed by SCEE’s Ray Maguire back in March of this year

The features are more than likely going to feature the eagerly anticipated “trophy” system in which i think that this will take Sony a big step foward in terms of rewarding its gamers.

Alongisde this will be an update in game communications, like messaging during a game and having chats with friends. This should have been there from the start but lets hope that Sony get this one right!

Expect an ‘official’ statement soon about the 2.4 update
